Banjar Traditional House

Banjarmasin city is located on Kalimantan island has a traditional house called "Banjar". This house also has a sense of architectural restrictions on the design.
Banjar traditional house has a philosophy or history, so there are several types, namely:
1. Gajah Baliku
Ie has a high ridge and bridge.
2. High ridge
Namely the shape of the ridge which rises up or taper, as well as symbolize the world over, and the underworld.

3. Elephant Manyusu That is not a ridge but has a pavilion. 
4. Balai Laki
Ie has a gable roof with a sharp tip and small ajungan.
5. Balai Bini
Ie there are terms pyramid-shaped top that long.

6. Palimbangan That is as big as the facet pyramid but does not have a pavilion.7. Palimasan the ridge like a pyramid shape so called palimasan. 
 8. Cacak Bird That describes a plus sign.  
 9. Alas cistern. 
 10. Joglo .  
 11. Lanting 


There are equations of the above types are:
1. Downs made ​​of wood.

So the traditional house of Banjar symbolize social status ofindigenous people and do not differentiate with the other tribes.
